Since the invention of the first programmable calculators in the 1930's computers have continued to develop at an incredible speed.According to Moore's Law, computing power is projected to continue doubling every 12 to 24 months.With todays silicon technology this is likely to continue for a decade, after which many expect nanotechnology to take over. 

Microchips to become more powerful.

The power of a computer chip is directly dependent on the number of transistors it can accommodate.The individual features etched into a silicon chip now measure only 65 millionths of a millimeter 65 millionths of could already ontegrate about 200 million transistors onto a single chip.By 2008 this numbercould rise to 1 billion tranisitors, and with even smaller structures below 30 mnanometres in the next few years. A chip's computing power will increase in parellel. 

Silicon Chips in computers ?

Have you ever wonder what the chips(microprocessors) in computers are made of.

All the computers currently on the market have silison chips as thier key components.However, the silicon age is nearing its end - at least as regards the most powerful chips.The future could see the computing function of silicon being taken on by the individual atoms and molecules of a wide variety of materials, including atoms genome strings.Exactly which materials, including cardbon and promising we don't yet know.

Running DDR5 graphic card on DDR2 Motherboard.

DDR5 graphic cards are much faster and costlier than DDR3 graphic cards and their performance is higher when compared with each other.

Both DDR5 and DDR3 graphic cards requires same Bus Interface

To  insert any graphic card, only a  PCI x16  port should be available and DDR2 Boards have that facility, so any card can be kept with ease without any problem.  

And performance of DDR5 graphic card will be same whether in DDR2 Board or DDR3 board.

Lags can seen while playing games  due to the CPU(processor), if its a single core or a dual core.

        DDR5 = Video Memory of Graphic card Only, it has nothing to do with system.

Though there a many antivirus showing up, most of them are not free. People dont like to afford money on purchasing a licensed version of  antivirus, for people like those Microsoft has come up with a good antivirus to support, by keeping the minimum requirement  of a genuine windows.
For those who are having a genuine windows,this software can be installed and can be put to work.

The main thing is that its a free antivirus that keeps on getting  a very frequent updates so internet has to be there, if you don't have internet or you are facing problem while updating, you can simple cancel the update and manually install the patch file and restart the system.

Its a very good antivirus, which can scan your full harddisk and it also gets frequent critical updates which can improve chances fighting against malwar and even trojan viruses.

This freeware antivirus is supporting all OS but with an exception for win XP 64 bit only . Microsoft did not make it compatible for 64 bit version of XP, due to problem with its service packs.

Best Processor for GA - M61PME S2P ?

Review of this motherboard clear shows that its a Am2+ board, due to bios update we can manually turn it into Am3 giving it a new platform.

 If you plan to insert a new processor in that board, you really have to take care of these following problems :

1. If you install AMD AM3/ AM2+ CPU on AM2 motherboard, the system bus speed will    downgrade from HT3.0 (5200MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM3/ AM2+ CPU will not be impacted. 

2. Max TDP is only 95 watts 

Note : The processor must have to consume only 95 watts of power supply, so the following processors are supported :

Phenom™ X4 processor/ AMD Phenom™ X3 processor/ AMD Athlon™ X2 processor/ AMD Athlon™ processor/ AMD Sempron™ X2 processor/ AMD Sempron™ processor 

Note : Phenom II processors are not supported for this board.


Updating Bios 
In order to support AM3 processors bios has be updated, if not you will see that the system doesn't  recognize the model of processor it displays  as  AMD PROCESSOR MODEL UNKOWN.

Download the latest bios F7B and install them through QFLASH by entering  bios setup. 

4 gb DDR2 Ram vs 4 gb DDR3 Ram

Technically DDR3 ram is advance than DDR2 ram, due its core clock  and high speed, in market the prices of it are cheaper when compared to DDR2 ram

The difference come in clock speed as DDR3 runs at higher clocks and lower voltages due to a more complex 90nm manufacturing process while DDR2 heats up fast. Though in order to change DDR2 ram to DDR3 ram, one must change his motherboard  to support DDR3 ram,
its a bit costly, so its  preferable to us DDR2.

you can the difference in system rating if  you are using a DDR3 ram, it will improve the average score of system. 

Windows 7 ultimate system rating : ram : 7.1 when using DDR3 ram
Windows 7 ultimate system rating : ram : 6.9 when using DDR2 ram

2.Then save it as locker.bat, and click OK.
3.Then open the saved file by clicking on it.You will see a folder named personal after clicking it.
4.You are done, send your important files to personal folder.
5. Open the locker.bat file and click Y to hide the personal folder.

GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H Overclocked

Overclocking greatly varies due to what hardware is being used and who is doing the overclocking. Always remember that no two pieces of hardware will perform the same, so our results will differ from what you might be able to get.

With stock BIOS settings, the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T processor runs with a 200MHz bus speed (base clock) and an x14.0 multiplier that is used to reach the final core clock of 2.8GHz when all the cores are at full load.

When manually setting the overclock on the GIGABYTE 880GMA-UD2H we were UNable to get past that 4GHz barrier. I was able to boot into Windows at 3.94GHz at 1.5Vcore, though if I tried to do any work on the CPU it would crash. The final overclock that I was happy with and was stable was 3.863GHz using a FSB of 276MHz and 1.475Vcore.

Firing up 3DMark Vantage, we can see that we improved our overall 3DMark Vantage Scores by nearly 2000 points! Much more impressive is the nearly 5000 point boost in the CPU Score! Not bad for the short time I have had this board. With cooling on the power circuitry we could probably break that 4GHz barrier!

So guys  this board is a ideal choice for TRULY Unleashing the power of Six Core CPU.
