DDR3 vs DDR5 graphic card

Many are confused to choose the Graphic card, when It comes in comparison between DDR3 and DDR5.

(DDR5 Graphic cards are faster than DDR3 Graphic cards, especially while benchmarking. True effects of Direct x11 can be visualized in DDR5 cards.)

Consider a normal DDR3 Card - Nvidia GT 430
Consider a normal DDR5 Card - Ati Radeon HD 5670

So, Firstly, Prise Comparision of Those card

* Prises of both are card are quiet handy, Nvidia GT 430 comes with a price of   Rs 3500/- for 1 gb version and Ati HD 5670 comes with a price of Rs5500/-

Secondly,  Performance of Those cards

      Gt 430

  • Stream Processors: 96
  • Texture Address / Filtering: 16/16
  • ROPs: 4
  • Core Clock: 700MHz
  • Memory Clock: 900 MHz
  • Memory Bus Width: 128 bit
  • Transistor Count: 585Nm
  HD 5670
  • Engine clock speed: 775 MHz
  • Processing power (single precision): 620 GigaFLOPS
  • Polygon throughput: 775M polygons/sec
  • Data fetch rate (32-bit): 62 billion fetches/sec
  • Texel fill rate (bilinear filtered): 15.5 Gigatexels/sec
  • Pixel fill rate: 6.2 Gigapixels/sec
  • Anti-aliased pixel fill rate: 24.8 Gigasamples/sec
  • Memory clock speed: 1.0 GHz
  •
Thirdly, Design

       GT 430

Ati HD 5670

DDR5 cards have more complicated designs.

So, for much faster and cooler performance DDR5 graphic cards are preferable, and for higher benchmarking in gaming DDR5 graphic cards are BEST.

(remember that 1 GB DDR5 cards are more powerful than 2 GB DDR3 graphic cards)
